The 2011 Ford Flex is a roomy crossover that seats seven and comes in a total of ten trim levels. The Flex is available in SE, SEL, Limited, and Titanium trims with some additional drive-train choices. The standard power source for the Flex is a 3.5-liter V6 that makes 262 horsepower and has a six-speed automatic transmission.
The SEL, Limited, and Titanium trim levels can be ordered with the 355 horsepower EcoBoost twin-turbo. The Ford Flex is front-wheel-drive, but SEL, Limited, and Titanium flexes are also available with all-wheel-drive.
The Flex has a fresh looking big-box look to it that sets it apart from the standard SUVs and minivans it competes against. And with 10 models to choose from, there’s a Flex for every family’s needs and budget.
Common to all Flex trim levels are antilock brakes, privacy glass in back, air-conditioning with 2nd and 3rd row registers, message center with trip computer, a fold-flat front passenger seat, audio system with auxiliary jack, power windows, auto dimming rear view mirror, keyless entry, LATCH system for child seats, tire pressure monitoring, and reverse sensing system.
The higher trim levels have additional convenience features like a Sony brand premium audio system with SIRIUS satellite radio and the Ford SYNC system. SYNC is a voice-activated communications and entertainment system that includes 911 assist, vehicle health reports, traffic reports, and GPS based turn by turn driving directions and information services.
